Physical change in this instance means replacing computing or office hardware for more efficient alternatives. This is not always the best way; for example if your systems are less than 2-3 years old, or already efficient (such as laptops). It can also mean changing from physical servers and storage to virtualized solutions; again not always the right choice.
Changing the culture of work to reduce costs and wasteage can work but needs to be planned and managed correctly and KPIs need to be in place to allow management to understand when goals have been reached
This is the most difficult change to implement. Again it takes planning and careful management to ensure success.
